Tom Holland Had No Idea Who He Fought With While Filming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Jan 16, 2018 Jorah Comics 0

It is not a strength of Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland to keep secrets related to the MCU, and he has earlier been credited with spilling the beans such as revealing plans for the Spider-Man trilogy and the link that Peter Parker shares with Iron-Man 2. Holland’s slip of tongue is such a challenge that Marvel Studios were compelled to keep him away from Avengers: Infinity War script, however, now Tom has revealed that Russo Brothers even went a step further to ensure he didn’t reveal any secrets about the upcoming film.

During the ACE Comic-Con at Phoenix, Arizona, over the weekend, Holland disclosed that they didn’t even tell him who he fought with, in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.

“I remember for Avengers; the Russo Brothers are like ‘so you’re just standing here, and you’re fighting this guy and just do whatever,’ and I’m like, ‘okay, who am I fighting?'” Holland recalled. “And they were like ‘well, we can’t tell you because it’s a secret.’ I’m like, ‘okay so what does he look like?’ And they’re like ‘well, we can’t tell you because that would give it away, so I’m like ‘how big is he?’ ‘Well, we can’t tell you because that would give it away.’ So, I’m just standing there punching the air for 15 minutes, and when I took the job, I didn’t think that’s what I’d be doing. I’ve gotten used to it now.”

Not just Holland, but, some other MCU actors are prone to leaking details. Holland accidentally reveals secrets and Mark Ruffalo also had a couple of famous goof ups where he disclosed more than what the studios preferred. Ruffalo, who has featured in the Avengers right from the start, recently made a mistake when he erroneously live-streamed a part of Thor: Ragnarok during the movie’s premiere because he just forgot to close the Instagram app before the event.

Now that the Avengers: Infinity War is less than four months from release, fans would be able to see how well Holland fought the villain who we now know is Thanos.

Avengers: Infinity War releases on May 4th.
