The MCU will expand to 65 + comic-book characters who will appear in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4. Marvel Studios have assembled a great cast under a single roof and are creating a mega comic-book event. The Infinity War movies are the most awaited superhero ensemble movies of the 21st century.
The trailer has finally arrived and the long wait is over. The trailer had shown the arrival of Thanos (Josh Brolin) on Earth. He wants to find the infinity stones, assemble them and create a powerful gauntlet. The Infinity stones are very powerful, and each one of them is also very powerful.
Thanos’ biggest appearance was in Guardians of the Galaxy where we saw him interacting with Ronan. In this scene, he was wearing a blue and golden armor like the one in the comics with a golden helmet. But in this trailer, his armor and the helmet is gone.
In July during the San Diego Comic-Con, Joe Russo had explained why Thanos dropped his armor.
“[Thanos] has a more casual approach in this film, and it’s very philosophical for him,” Russo explained. “It’s part of his character definition. It’s a spiritual journey for him to collect the Stones and one with which he doesn’t need armor. Once he starts acquiring the Stones, he doesn’t need armor in the same way he did when he was a warlord. It’s a very symbolic costume.”
Earlier, he had villains like Ronan and Loki at his disposal. In the post-credit scenes of Avengers: Age of Ultron, we had seen saw how he decides to do things by himself.
Josh Brolin had opened up in an interview to say that he might not have all the Infinity stones in Infinity War. This had triggered speculation if the Thanos’ journey to collect the gems will be stretched across two movies. To address the issue, he said:
“I haven’t done the second movie, so I don’t know. I don’t know what the second script is. I don’t know if they’ve finished the second script, and that’s the truth. I think they’re in the midst of structuring and restructuring.”
“He also added that Thanos would also use psychological tactics as much as he would use brute force.”
The studio has been building up a hype of Thanos so the expectations of Marvel fans are super high and some believe that the movie will break the record of highest box-office collections for a superhero movie and of any movie.
Thanos is coming along with his Black Order to take on the Avengers on May 3, 2018. CHEERS!
