As news about David Ayer being tied up with Gotham City Sirens spreads, it does not mean that the possibility of a Suicide Squad is extinguished. Warner Bros. has plans for a Suicide Squad sequel and big plans for a Deadshot film.
After the news that David Ayer will be directing Margot Robbie in the film Gotham City Sirens, it was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that Warner Bros. is planning a Suicide Squad sequel. As of now there is no word on when it is going to happen or who will be holding the reigns of the chariot. But this news should not be a surprise because of the fact that the Suicide Squad movie made a whopping $745.6 million despite receiving devastatingly negative reviews.
Amazingly, it has also come to light that the studio is also in the process of developing a Deadshot spin off staring of course the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will Smith. Even though Gotham City Sirens is the project which is furthest along currently, this is probably why it is on the faster lane. Once again, it is not revealed when this movie would start shooting and who could be directing it.
Deadshot as a standalone movie has possibilities of heading out into many different directions. Also, considering the fact that Smith was praised for his acting performance just as much as Margo Robbie, this would make a lot of sense. Which of these upcoming films are you more excited about and what are your thoughts on them?
