All you Star Wars fans should get going with your plans, make sure your wallets are handy because Star Wars: The Last Jedi tickets are going to be up for grabs really soon. Although there is no official announcement from Disney and Lucasfilm, we expect this because Mark Hamill had stated in a now-deleted tweet that the latest Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer will be out during Monday Night Football this coming Monday. A fresh report has come out that the pre-sale tickets for the film will be available online on the same day. Therefore, we believe you should plan well.
This has been revealed by Jeremy Conrad, editor of Furious Fanboys. While he is not a part of either Lucasfilm or Disney, this news does appear to be logical. He has claimed that AMC, as well as Regal, are working on scheduling their systems for the pre-sale ticketing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the tickets will be live on Monday. This is what Jeremy said:
“It’s 100 percent true. 100 percent true. I know for a fact two of the major theater chains in the U.S., Regal, and AMC, are programming their systems this week for tickets. They got a notice on Monday.”
Disney has a trend of releasing pre-sale tickets, and they did the same for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and in that case, as well the pre-sale happened alongside the premiere of a trailer during an NFL game in 2015. While this is not yet confirmed about the latest film, it has a great sense to it.
At the same time, there was chaos when some of the theaters sold tickets even before The Force Awakens trailer came out and that had upset many fans. It was smoother sailing for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016, despite the crazy fan interest. Now, this film is the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens and we believe that there will be an unprecedented demand for the tickets of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Jeremy said that Disney and Lucasfilm are also likely to organize a special screening on Thursday, December 14 which will have back to back screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Since these two films are inter-connected in the timeline, this is going to be a great option for a lot of fans. However, if that happens, tickets are going to sell out at lightning speed.
However, Jeremy didn’t have any clue as to what time will the tickets go on sale on Monday for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. However, you have to just rely on them being available on Monday, 9th October. Therefore, keep your eyes open and be prepared to pounce on the tickets as soon as they go live on Monday.
In fact, we might see an official announcement from Disney and Lucasfilm anytime now. The fact that Star Wars: The Force Awakens collected over $100 million through pre-sales alone, we expect this to be really big and a high-pressure day for Star Wars lovers.
