The legendary Superhero creator and Comic book icon Stan Lee has commented on the recent Disney takeover of 21st Century Fox’s major assets.
“A truly great piece of news!” Stan Lee told Newsarama. “Now characters such as the X-Men and the Fantastic Four can come home to the place where they belong. It’s vitally important to have the Marvel characters under one roof. And now, as great as they were before, I can’t wait to see the wonders that will unfold!”
The highly regarded Marvel Comics writer/editor is known as the creator of X-Men and the Fantastic Four, whose film rights will now be back under one roof at Disney. As per the acquisition deal details, Disney looks forward to integrating both the comic book franchises into the Marvel Cinematic Universe which already has a large number of heroes including Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Hulk, and others. It is obvious that Lee is delighted to see more of his old characters under a single banner.
The $52.4 billion acquisition of 21st Century Fox properties by Disney on Thursday, after long weeks of speculation and news related to the deal moving forward to a formal closure.
