This chunk of news biscuit has to be chewed with a few gulps of water, but a new report suggests that Megan Fox may be up for the role of Poison Ivy or at least could be interested in it, in David Ayer’s film Gotham City Sirens.
Last night news had gotten out that Warner Bros. was planning to team up again with David Ayer, the director of Suicide Squad, for a spin off named Gotham City Sirens featuring Harley Quinn portrayed by Margot Robbie. In the comic by the same name, Miss Harleen Quinzel form a team with Catwoman and Poison Ivy, and an idea can be formed about which could be in the frame to portray Poison Ivy.
Comics news form Bleeding Cool reveals that Megan Fox (from TMNT, Transformers, New Girl) has ordered some very particular comic book issues to her Warner Bros. address. The issues were: Harley Quinn #14, #17, #38; all of these issues dig in to Poison Ivy’s relationship with Harley Quinn. How could they know this? No way to know, but their little birds have come carrying some solid information in the past.
This alone wouldn’t be a whole lot to go on itself anyway, but apparently Fox is a big time comic book fan who has expressed her desire to play the role of Ivy in the past. So, there is a very good chance that she might be interested in landing that role in Ayer’s upcoming movie. Where her interest shall be reciprocated for the good, remains to be clear.
Assuming that something builds out of this, what is your opinion about Megan Fox being the right fit for the role of Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens?
