We will be seeing a familiar character in Star Trek Discovery from the original TV series, and yes, we are talking about Harry Mudd. Rainn Wilson, “The Office” fame is going to portray Mudd in Star Trek: Discovery. The show’s storyline is set in the “Prime” Universe, ten years before the “The Original Star Trek Series.”
The show is not at all related to the current movie timeline created by J.J Abrams. The reason we mentioned that because a lot of Star Trek purists hate the stories and films in the “Kelvin Timeline” (JJ Abrams movie timeline). Riann is a decorated actor, and he is going to bring his own sense of uniqueness to the character of Mudd that will be completely different than There is no fixed date for the release date of Star Trek Discovery yet, and things haven’t good for the series due to the “Creative & Administrative” fluctuations in the production team. However, updates on the show make us relieved that at least something is happening behind the curtains because a couple of months back there were news from relevant sources that this show could be canned. We think that television needs a regular entertaining Star Trek TV show, and yeah, Star Trek Discovery is not going to be “Episodic” like previous Star Trek shows!
