A quick look at the busy release slate of Marvel will reveal to you that two spinoff films separate the Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel Avengers 4. These two films are Ant-Man and the Wasp, which has completed filming in Atlanta recently, and Captain Marvel, the much-awaited solo movie which will start shooting later in the year, also in Atlanta.
The Brie Larson starrer is based in the 1990s, and the movie is being brought to us by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who will start filming in March, nearly a year ahead of the movie’s scheduled release. However, is Carol Danvers going to debut on the big screen before the release of her solo movie? Things indicate towards that for sure.
Avengers: Infinity War makers, Joe and Anthony Russo, have rejected the speculation about Captain Marvel being a part of their film, but, there is mounting evidence to prove to the contrary. If nothing else then she would at least play a brief cameo. Further substance has been added to this rumor after Fandango listed the cast of the film, which has Brie Larson’s name on it. Agreed that this might just be an error or speculation by Fandango, but, we feel, it is further evidence to prove that she will feature in the film.
Avengers: Infinity War is being billed as the “deadliest showdown yet.” In MCU’s history. The film will unleash a massive battle between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Thanos, the uncontrollable Mad Titan who has been lurking in the shadows after first appearing in the post-credits scene of the Avengers movie. After six years, Josh Brolin’s mega-villain is finally leaving that floating space throne to step on the blue planet. This gigantic threat requires the Avengers to summon as much help as they can, and it might just be the time for Captain Marvel to respond to their call.
No matter what, whether with or without Carol Danvers, Avengers: Infinity War will storm into the theaters on May 4th and will unleash a long-term change in the MCU as we know it presently.
