Is Glenn Rhee an immortal man or what!? Is he a man at all? He seems to specialize in death-defying moments. I have lost count of the number of times I thought he is a goner but this bloke, he miraculously rises from the proverbial dumpster. Against all odds he has always found a way to somehow make it out alive. The nature of the show is such that nearly everyone on the show has had their fair share of heart attack inducing zombie encounter. Yet, Glenn’s case is a unique one due to the sheer number of times he survives with his limbs intact. Each times I uncap my pen to sign his death certificate, I am glad to be proven wrong. Every single time. Given below are 10 death defying moments in The Walking Dead by the man, Glenn Rhee. Scroll down and read.
Glenn Rhee, with his adorable baseball cap was introduced to us for the first time as a bit of a geeky pizza delivery boy in Season 1. In that episode, we saw his courageous side, for the first but not the last time, when he went out of his way to save Rick who had gotten himself stuck in a military tank surrounded by walkers. He managed to succeed in his mission but in the process he and his group ended being surrounded by an endless horde of walkers after their gunshots become the closest thing to a dinner bell for these lovely little flesh eating bastards. It was only when Rick created a makeshift camouflage of walker guts that they make it out alive. Indeed a close shave.
Glenn was almost killed again when he nearly got done in by a bloated well walker with a close resemblance to Jabba the Hutt. It also nearly made everyone lose their lunch. I wonder if there has not been enough horror movies with creatures in wells for all of us, Glenn included, to know better?
