The cinematic version of Justice League has been so vehemently criticized that barely a week into the film’s run, an online petition has gained momentum to get the original Zack Snyder version of the film released. This demand is similar to the one we had when fans asked for the release of the full version of Snyder’s Batman v Superman. This petition has gathered over 100, 000 signatures by now, however, it has got one supporter who will encourage fans more than any other.
The campaign started when a DC Films fan shared the petition for Justice League Director’s Cut on Vero, and it was liked by none other than Zack Snyder himself.
Snyder has come across as an honorable company guy during the whole reshooting and rewriting period of his film by Warner Bros. even when the entire tone of the movie was altered. As of now, he must be feeling vindicated that such a large number of fans want to see his original vision of the movie.
Justice League is presently running in cinemas, and DC’s upcoming movie releases are Aquaman on December 21, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Wonder Woman 2 on November 1st, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020.
