As Zack Snyder’s Justice League brings together a team of DC’s superheroes, the movie’s promotional material now features the man of steel, Superman.
The movie features expanded roles for Ray Fisher’s (Cyborg) Jason Momoa’s (Aquaman), the return for Ezra Miller’s Flash and DCEU staples Ben Affleck (Batman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman).
Henry Cavill has returned from the grave as Superman by the second half of Justice League. Now it seems like this secret is out and Warner Bros. is not planning to keep Superman behind the curtains any longer. On the official Justice League Movie Facebook, their banner for the movie unites all the six heroes.
The original banner had featured Cyborg, Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman but the latest version brings back Kal-El. Superman fits perfectly at the center of the image with an emphasis on how crucial he is in the superhero world. Taking his rightful place it is clear that the movie’s marketing plan was to use Superman as a lure and bring in their fans.
Cavill’s return was DC’s worst- secrets and many images had leaked merchandise toys has teased that or hero is red and blue would be flying onto the silver screen in Justice League. The Superman of the comics defied death and the movie couldn’t have been any different.
Clark Kent’s alter ego had lost his life in Batman V Superman in 2016 and there were many questions as to how he will return for Justice League. He was originally resurrected by the Mother Boxes as a zombie but it did not take long for Amy Adams’ Lois Lane to return the human side of Superman.
With Clark now back to normal, Justice League sets Cavill up for one more performance as the Metropolis Marvel. And we hope to see a Man of Steel 2 come to fruition.
