It probably suits a film as polarizing as Justice League to get a lot of contradictory fan petitions, calling for Warner Bros. to release separate Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon versions. Even if we ignore the question about the existence of such a “Snyder cut” or a “Whedon cut,” it is unlikely that the studio is planning to release any other version of this lowest earning DCEU film. At least for the time being.
The cover art for Justice League’s Blu-ray and DVD versions have been leaked, and the same was noticed by TrailerTrack’s Anton Volkov. The cover art doesn’t mention anything about either an extended or a different version of the movie.
“BVS and SUICIDE SQUAD Blu-rays in US/Canada had extended/alt cuts front & center,” Volkov said. “No separate Blu release for theatrical (except SS on 3D and 4K which still included the EC on Blu).” However, this doesn’t imply that WB can’t/won’t release another version of the movie later on.
For the time being, we can only expect to see fans arguing about whether “Snyder’s cut” of the film would have been better than the theatrical version released earlier.
Justice League is all set to finish its theatrical run with a global box office collection of $675 million.
Justice League is presently running in theaters and the film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
