Let us go way back in time, before the Old Gods had died. It had taken the allied forces of man, Amazon, and Atlanteanto fight against Steppenwolf, the head of Apokolips’s army.
This is the mythology which is behind Justice League, the latest ensemble which brings together the greatest superheroes of DC’s film universe.
The narrative revolves around Steppenwolf, who was not killed and he emerges from exile to reclaim and reassemble the three Mother Boxes. The alien technology seems limitless potential and is most powerful when the three boxes are combined. This combination creates a powerful wave of destruction and it allows Steppenwolf and the Parademons to conquer and destroy universes.
It was such kind of an event that had brought together the 3 armies years ago, with aid from Zeus and a few Old Gods. Steppenwolf had invaded Earth before and itunited the tribes of man with the Amazons and Atlanteans. They had turned him back and but feared what my happen if anyone brought the three Mother Boxes together. So, they were split between these factions; Amazons and the Atlanteans and they protected theirs while mankind hid the Mother Box under the ground.
As it had been revealed in the movie attached to a Wonder Woman Blu-ray, the British army would find the box during World War I, but it would go to the hands of the Americans. It would be used by Dr. Silas Stone in an attempt to mend his son’s (Victor) broken body and this creates Cyborg. It was this connection to the Box that gave him the powers. And it allowed him to be crucial in defeating Steppenwolf.
Justice League is playing in theaters now.
