Earlier in the year during Gamescom, Universal in tandem with the team of Frontier Developments (Rollercoaster Tycoon) had stated that they were busy developing a game to commemorate the release of its sequel to Jurassic World 2, the dino-sim Jurassic World: Evolution which will let the fans build the dino theme park as per their fantasies. Last weekend during the Frontier Expo 17, fans were given a close peek to some of the dinosaurs that will be seen in the game so that the fans get an idea of what all they are going to deal with in their theme parks.
The footage of the gameplay which was recorded by team TheSixthAxis has a confusing title because it hasn’t featured the gameplay aspects such as creating a theme park or seeing the dinosaurs go berserk. Although, it does show some in-game visuals highlighting the visual appeal of the dinos, starting from the smallest Velociraptors to the imposing T-Rex, who is taking a breather from his favorite activity of chewing other creatures and is seen demonstrating his rule within the park.
Taking into account the fact that Frontier and Universal have teamed up for this project, they might have access to a lot of the properties featured in the sequel such as various models of dinosaurs, locations and in fact, the whole park itself. The gameplay will also bring some weather elements into play such as rainstorms that bring forward the scarier events from past films. Just imagine, a T-Rex storm at your car during a thunderous rainstorm!
What we saw might be only the starting visuals of things that lie in store in Jurassic World: Evolution because Frontier is expected to give us further updates over the next few months, considering that now we got a good look at Jurassic World 2 too and Universal might release the film’s first trailer later this year. Therefore, the franchise is raking up a great deal of Dinomania frenzy.
The next few months will reveal further information about the game, and with Frontier in charge, we believe that you will have a fabulous time setting up your own Jurassic Park. Go ahead check out the first footage of the gameplay here.
Jurassic World: Evolution is scheduled to come out in summer 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, and PCs.
