The Incredibles appeared on the big screen nearly 14 years ago, and fans are eager to see them reappear during the upcoming summer.
Fandango conducted a survey recently wherein more than 8000 users voted on their most anticipated films of 2018. As far as family entertainment is concerned, this mega-sequel from Pixar is the most anticipated film of the year.
The sequel to Brad Bird-helmed 2004 animated hit, Incredibles 2 has been ranked as the Most Anticipated Family Movie of2018, and there is a solid reason for that. Bird has come back as writer/director, and most of the original movie’s voice cast is also returning. Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson and Sarah Vowell are making a come back, and they are supported by new entrants Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener.
As if this A-list cast and crew is insufficient to enthuse fans for another Incredibles adventure, just have a look at the track record that Disney/Pixar have regarding sequels. Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. and Cars have all been hugely successful with their sequels.
While the Incredibles 2 was the top-ranked film on the list, it wasn’t the only Disney project to make it to top five. A Wrinkle in Time, Mary Poppins Returns and Wreck It Ralph 2 are placed from number two to four. The only non-Disney movie on the list happens to be Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, at number five.
Incredibles 2 will release on June 15, 2018.
