Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently being filmed, and it is progressing well. Pre-production activities for this grand 8th Season of Game Of Thrones had started nearly a month back, and since this season is going to be longer, it took more time this year. With the arrival of October, filming for this final season got underway, and there were the table reads that lasted two days before the one week long rehearsals commenced.
The current week saw the official start of the filming of the 8th Season of Game Of Thrones, and as per sources, it is going to take a considerable amount of time. It is speculated that while the filming will take at least 8-9 months to complete, it could stretch up to 10 months, but, nothing is clear as of now.
Jon Snow aka Kit Harington recently appeared on The One Show on BBC, and he shared some details about the filming as well as the Season that is coming up. He revealed that he would start filming for the final season from Monday, October 23rd. Undoubtedly, he is not alone in filming as various other characters have already started facing the camera for the last Game Of Thrones season, and Kit will join them shortly.
Kit Harington was present during the Table reads a week ago, and he is aware of how the season will wrap up. This is what he said about this final Game of Thrones season:
“I’m really emotional about it. We had the read through last week, so I know everything. But I cried at the end – not over anything particular that happened – but it’s been eight years, and no one cares about it more than we do.”
We can understand that. It is a mega season for all those who survived throughout all the seasons. Kit is not the only one as Sophie Turner had also stated similar things recently. Kit said that it wasn’t easy to bid farewell to all. However, he is pleased to realize that he would be able to get a haircut now. Harington confessed that he will get a haircut as soon as the filming is over, and then “no one will know who he is.” That’s not possible, we say.
