Fandom is buzzing with speculations about who would play villain’s role in the upcoming Venom film, but, the movie’s lead actor Tom Hardy seems to have just added a lot of fuel to that fire, with an image that he shared on social media recently, and then quickly removed.
The image has Hardy as Venom, framed by his main enemy Carnage, who for a long time has been expected to be the villain of the Venom movie. The last update was about Rogue One star Riz Ahmed being in a discussion about playing Carnage. However, there has neither been a confirmation or denial since then. Recently, Tom Hardy’s first look as Eddie Brock was unveiled, and an Easter Egg in that photo hinted at the presence of the other symbiote child of Venom being a part of the movie. If that’s how it is, then it is logical that Carnage has to be one of these offspring.
The question that bothers us all is: why did Tom Hardy take that image down from his Instagram? Was he disallowed by the Studio as he had revealed a big secret linked to the villain? Was it only because they wanted to avoid fans deciphering too much out of that image when Carnage is not even a part of the movie?
The answers will come when Venom comes out with its full trailer and images. Venom is scheduled for a cinematic release on October 5, 2018.
