Gladiators’ was a show by ITV which was televised from October 1992 to January 2000 in the UK whose success spawned further adaptations in other countries. In it, contestants were required to battle a gladiator in a number of events to secure points for the final event ‘The Eliminator.’
“Do you feel the power of the Gladiators? Can you face the challenge of the champions? Do you have the courage of the heroes?” “Do you have the will or the skill? Do you have the strength, the speed the heart to be a winner? Deep down in your SOUL?
These were the basic questions asked by the show to both the audience and brave contenders who dared to participate in it. All the seemingly superhuman powerhouses were forces not to be messed with. Occasionally they could be tamed by the strict referee John Anderson. It was originally hosted by John Fashanu and Ulrika Jonsson. ‘Gladiators’ was what people looked forward to on Saturday nights back in the ’90s.
Mike Lewis, also known as ‘Saracen’ in the show returns to TV on Ninja Warrior UK to tackle obstacle course. Others like Lightning, Hunter, Ace, Jet and more have done several things such as performing as Angelina Jolie’s stunt double to starring in an Oscar-winning Hollywood movie. Here today, we select 10 most prominent and popular Gladiators to find out what they got up to after the show ended.

Unwittingly she has once left Twilight actor Robert Pattinson scarred for life. Pattinson was taking part in a dog beauty show which she was supposed to judge and she failed to turn up. The actor joked during an appearance on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 breakfast show, “Jet was supposed to be judging it, but she didn’t turn up, It has scarred me with women – I don’t trust women anymore.”
