Avengers: Infinity War will surely be huge and will unite all of the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time.
The Avengers threequel will continue an arc for Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), the Hulk, which had launched in Thor: Ragnarok, where the green goliath was living in space as a gladiator on Sakaar.
Hulk’s arc is set to continue through Avengers 4. Bruce’s previous love interest, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), daughter of Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt), has not been seen by fans since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Their relationship had come to an end by 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Then, he and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) started a pretty doomed romance.
Infinity War trailer seems to hint at the end of Bruce and Natasha’s coupling. And this may open doors for Betty entering the scene.
A January 2017 piece from The Scottish Daily had listed Tyler as part of Infinity War’s cast, but her involvement has not yet been confirmed.
Marvel Studios has distanced itself from The Incredible Hulk a position that was necessitated by legal entanglements around Universal Pictures, who hold rights to distribute standalone Hulk movies.
Feige does not expect a stand-alone Hulk movie to happen soon, but Betty Ross may find her way into MCU.
Avengers: Infinity War will release on May 4.
