There is little more than a month to go before Black Panther releases in cinemas, and Marvel has come out with a new featurette showcasing the Dora Milaje.
“Warriors of Wakanda”, the new featurette was unveiled a short while back and it features the movie’s lead star Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa/Black Panther), accompanied by other cast members Danai Gurira (Okoye), Lupita Nyong (Nakia), and Michael B. Jordan (Erik Killmonger), who talk about the characters portrayed by them and the peculiar combat style shown in Black Panther. As stated by Gurira, the Dora Milaje who have devoted their lives to the king and kingdom of Wakanda, have a fighting style which aims to show them as one single entity in battle.
Black Panther will be the 18th Marvel Cinematic Universe release, and it is all set to become another number one hit from Marvel. Although, it is not yet time for tracking, but, early predictions indicate that the movie will have an opening of close to $120 million, and the possibility to do even better. These are great numbers, but, are not unexpected considering the movie is already doing better than Captain America: Civil War in the pre-sales of tickets.
Ryan Coogler has directed Black Panther based on a script, he jointly wrote with Joe Robert Cole. The movie stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, and Forest Whitaker as Zuri. Black Panther arrives in theaters on February 16.
