After all updates about the Batman solo film, it has now become clear that the director Ben Affleck seems to have committed to shooting the film early next year.
Our previous report about the status of the standalone Batman film suggested that the project might have been still quite far away from starting shooting. This was when director and actor Ben Affleck suggested that the script was nowhere near close to completion. Well, now it seems the Argo star has changed his tune in this regard.
At a tastemakers screening at New York’s Metrograph Theater last night, Variety had the opportunity to catch up with Affleck. He then indicated to them that the film The Batman, if that is that name they go with, should become ready for a shoot by spring next year. Affleck said that the production team was on right track with that and everything seems to be coming together. He said the script is being finished and he is particularly excited.
Even though this piece of information seems really positive, officially there is no word as to when the cameras start rolling on The Batman. So until an official word is released this could be understood as another conflicting report.
How would you like to react to Affleck’s timing with the script and the start of the filming?
