There’s a great scene in Pixar’s awesome The Incredibles where Edna Mode, the fashion designer, refused to add a cape to her design. This was because although they look cool, capes simply act as a catalyst to injuries and death. However, in the realm of superheroes, characters have outfits that may look great, yet are absolutely unreasonable. These heroesgave up security for glamour by wearing outfits with some genuine designingissues. Let’s take a look;
1. Superman’s Jeans
For almost 75% of a century, Superman has given the layout to all superhero outfits that have come after him. Not long ago, that is. A few years back, DC chose to modernize Superman by taking him out of his famous red and blue undies and placing him in a pair of jeans, a shirt, and a few boots. This would be decent if he was part of an under construction site. As rugged as your Levi’s might be, they aren’t going to stand the strain of battling Doomsday or flying through the sun. Let’s hope Metropolis citizens wouldn’t get upset at the sight of at Lil’ Krypton. As it is, one genuine tussle and Superman will be flying around town with an exposed buck.
2. Dazzler’s Roller Skates
It’s difficult to imagine now, however roller skating was once such an immense craze that Marvel Comics chose to make a roller skating-themed superhero. Dazzler was a mutant who could absorb sound waves and convert them into light. She would then refract the light with her necklaceto visually impair the baddies. She additionally sang pop tunes noisily as she fought. Her unique outfit is just too ’70s for our tastes. However, the roller skates simply make it appear as though she’s not serious at all when it comes to fighting crime. Nothing is worse than losing the bad guyswho kept running down a road bound with rock or cobblestones.
