Brian Fuller spilled a lotta bean during the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills. Brian Fuller is the showrunner for the upcoming Star Trek TV series, Star Trek Discovery. CBS will exclusively air the majority of the new Star Trek on its streaming service “CBS ALL ACCESS”. He told that the captain, this time, is a female, who will be a Lieutenant Commander. Brian also pointed out that the character is going to have a “level of diversity”. Here is all the Star Trek Discovery information that Brian has shared with the press. Read them out below:-
1) Show is not Episodic!
The first season is going to have 13 episodes that will follow the flow like a novel. It’s not going to be episodic and will be serialized. That means, you can’t jump in between, you have go through the previous episodes to understand what’s going on!
2) Kobayashi Maru – Will Be Tackled!
On being asked what’s the premise of the show, this is what he told, and it sounds damn interesting!
“There’s an incident and an event in Star Trek history that’s been talked about but never been explored. To do this series, we’re telling a much more serialized story, to dig deep into a very tantalizing storyline. And we have a character who’s on a journey, and in order to understand something that is alien, she first has to understand herself.” The event is something that was referenced in the original series, but not the Romulan War (“close,” he says) or Section 31 (but that could play a role) or Kirk wrestling with the Kobayashi Maru test.”
