For as far back as six months, viewers of The Walking Dead have been left in a fix. There was anger and frustration after the finale ended on a cliffhanger. This then gave way to the entire hypothesis. The long hold up has brought questions, gossipy titbits, trailers that can’t generally show anything, and Fear The Walking Dead (which the vast majority just appeared to disregard).
We’re days from the Season 7 debut, which means we’re just days from finding out who Negan killed. Rick? Carl? Michonne? Daryl? Glenn? Maggie? Abraham? Sasha? Eugene? Rosita? Aaron? The huge question of which of them was “Lucilled” has been a bug Walking Dead discussion, and it’s the ideal opportunity for answers finally. So, we have right here, 9 major predictions….
9. Rick Broken
Towards the end of the season finale we saw an alternate side to Rick Grimes. Subsequent to being cut off at every step of the way by the Saviors and after being whipped down and lined up by Negan, he apparently lost self-composure and ran out of ideas.
However, that’s not what a clip of the debut shows. As it is, he’s shown rebellious even after the death. He even tells Negan that he’ll slaughter him, and it’s not a mere threat.
Nonetheless, while that is a Rick trying to be Rick, I think what will come next will show him totally shattered. We know Negan drags him into the trailer, and whatever happens in there, clubbed with a second death, is going to abandon him as a shell of the pioneer he was for a couple of episodes. It’s the greatest test Rick’s confronted, the most he’s been beaten, and it will surely take some time to return to from.
8. Abraham Becomes Lucilled
When the enormous cliffhanger initially happened, in fact, even before that, my guess was Abraham.
It isn’t so much that I want him dead, yet it makes sense. As it is, his comics demise was given to an alternate character (Denise), setting him up for a more notable exit. He’s a mainstream character and it would bring the require weight. Furthermore, he’s not such a fan-most loved or so important that the show wouldn’t work without him.
Added to that is the possibility of somebody “taking it like a champ.” It absolutely fits the way Abraham would go out. In short, Abe appears like the #1 choice to be forced to bear Lucille’s anger in the season debut.
