Star Wars invented the multimedia attack, between comics, toys, TV shows and other tie-ins. However, The Force Awakens was a departure from the normal advertising and marketing onslaught. It introduced the concept of “journey to the force Awakens,” which overloaded the market with toys, books, comics and merchandise before the film’s release.
In view that there’s a huge gap between the Prequels and the normal Trilogy, the “journey to Rogue One” will try bringingfans and viewers up to the mark.
Beginning in October, Lucas film will publish five novels (together with the prequel novel celebrity Wars: Catalyst – A Rogue One Story), 5 short stories, a comic series and two video games to support the movie. Here’s how we think Rogue One could change Star Wars permanently….
8) A Persistent Far Away Galaxy
Gareth Edwards, the director has been hell bent that his movie will make limited use of the Force. He’s also stated that the first Anthology film is less-Buck Rogers and more Full Metal Jacket. The trailer has revealed a more realistic form of battle. Furthermore, several characters may have shady backgrounds, like protagonist JynErso (Felicity Jones) and Forest Whitaker’s likely bounty hunter. It may be the first Star Wars film where no central characters are safe.
7) A Brand New Score?
It will be the first Star Wars endeavour not to utilize multi-Oscar-winning composer John Williams. Instead, Edwards has hired the composer Alexandre Desplat.
He’s known for giving scores to Godzilla, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1 and Argo.
This change in direction comes as Lucas film updates their array upcoming features. It could also represent their desire to work with each Anthology filmmaker to create a unique if interconnected soundscape.
