It has been confirmed by CBS and Michael Weatherly, the actor playing the popular Special Agent Tony DiNozzo on NCIS. This year’s season finale will be his last appearance in the series. After his departure, the show must go on and it will but we are going to miss the guy terribly (Tony not Weatherly. The latter’s production company has a deal with CBS). Why? For one, we absolutely love his terrible puns. He is the fellow who came up with the nickname “McGeek” for his tech-loving partner, McGee (played by Sean Murray) after all. With his impending departure looming, here are seven more things about Tony we so love and will surely miss.
1. Mr. Cool
Like anyone else, he is not immune to a few bumps and bruises. For example, in the first episode of the opening season, we see him stuffed in a body bag. He gets shaken but never ishe stirred. He never seems to have a hair out of place as he always manages to keep his cool. Even after long nights hunting down Ziva (Cote de Pablo) in Israel, his five o’clock shadow looked trim.
2. Mr. Professional
Not every man knows how to rock a suit. Heck, make that, suits – Zegna, Tom Ford, etc. There is no such thing as casual Friday, Saturdays or Sundays in Mr. DiNozzo’s world. Regardless of the day of the week, he is always well attired. Yet dresses are secondary to him. Sure he cares for them, but they are secondary on his priority list.Nomatter what he has on, he always carries a backpack to work issuing the statement that says to us, “I take my looks seriously, but I take my job more seriously.” I bet he has got a tube of hair gel in there.
