6 Ways Star Wars: The Clone Wars Altered The Myths of Star Wars.
3. The Dark Side: Stronger Than We Thought
“Remember, the first and only reality of the Sith… there can only be two. And you are no longer my apprentice.”
Any Star Wars fan knows “The Rule of Two.” However, The Clone Wars put that thought to test. It had AsajjVentress, Savage Opress, Darth Maul: all solid in the dark side. Furthermore, they touched more than simply the Sith Lords of the period, Darth Sidious and Darth Tyranus. What’s more, Ventress battled against Dooku, her “master.” With respect to Darth Maul and his bro Savage Opress, well, see the above quote and the Season 5 scene “The Lawless.”
4. Canon Meets Darth Bane
The “Legends” world built up the Sith who instated the “Principle of Two:” Darth Bane. In around 1000 BBY, the Sith Order was similar to the Jedi Order. They enlisted any Force-sensitives that they encountered. Bane’s new statute, that there could be just two Sith at any given time, resulted in the demise of the various Sith. Of course, until The Clone Wars, this was just a “Legend.” Darth Bane entered the official ordinance of Star Wars. He showed up in the last scene, “Relinquish.” Bane’s incorporation is an immaculate example of how the Star Wars story can bring “Legends” into canon.
