Well, this is presumably the most hostile contention in all of geek-Dom: Which is better, Star Wars or Star Trek? With both series being reawakened for a brand new generation, there has never been a better time to return to this fight between the two most famous establishments in sci-fi history. So, which one is superior? Figure it out for yourselves;
1. Unstoppable Force
You can’t discuss Star Wars without saying the Force. A magical force that pervades the Star Wars universe, the Force is the thing that permitted Luke to lift his X-wing out of a bog on Dagobah and Vader to stifle his subordinates without touching them.
The additional enchantment the Force conveys to Star Wars makes it simply one more science fiction anecdote about aliens and spaceships. It gives the Star Wars a feeling of miracle that is all the more frequently connected with stories of wizards and enchantment than a space enterprise.
You’re most likely pondering when I’ll talk of the midi-chlorians. The answer is I won’t. Why? Well, on the grounds that midi-chlorians were a loathsome plot gadget that demolished the feeling of otherworldliness that the original trilogy made.
What is Star Trek’s identical thing? The Prime Directive, a touch of bureaucratic nonsense that says team individuals can’t meddle with the characteristic development of primitive civic establishments. However, they figure out how to abuse this in almost every scene. So much for that.
2. Lightsabers More Cooler Than Phasers
Obi-Wan Kenobi said, the lightsaber is a “more rich weapon for a more civilized age.” An emission of light, the shining lightsaber is effortlessly the coolest sci-fi weapon ever made.
However, Star Trek’s most celebrated weapon, the phaser, can be utilized by anybody with opposable thumbs, unlike lightsabers which can be wielded just by either Jedi or Sith (and the cyborg at times).
Hell, lightsabers can chop off a man’s arm with one swing, redirect blaster fire, and even slice through metal. Besides, they come in an assortment of structures: from the exemplary sabers utilized by Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader to Darth Maul’s twofold finished saber and don’t forget the light-saber whips.
A lightsaber’s owner even forms his or her own particular weapon, instilling it with the Force and making it a piece of them. Wow!
Phasers, meanwhile, are mass-created by Star Trek’s Federation. Nothing about them is intriguing. What’s your choice?
