James Mangold, the Wolverine director mentioned on Twitter that 20th Century Fox plans to shoot Wolverine 3 soon after X-guys: Apocalypse wraps up. The point is, Hugh Jackman, who has played the character in seven movies over the span of fifteen years, would not return. As of yet, he has not even given a confirmation for X-guys: Apocalypse. Now, what does this infer for the franchise? Well, as per with Mangold, Wolverine will continue with or without the actor. Logan is a character that will proceed to live and tell the tale on the silver screen, similar to the comic books and the movie storyline itself, regardless of who is swinging those antimantium claws. So, who could replace Jackman? Here’s a look at 6 actors that could pull it off.
At 24-years, Liam Hemsworth is the youngest guy on the list. Furthermore, he is a fellow Aussie. Whilst developing into a handsome leading man, he might not have the look befitting for Logan. However, he undoubtedly appeals to youngsters weaned on The Hunger Games. Furthermore, he can draw in that elusive feminine crowd, with his shirtless berserker rage owning the ability to promote various action figures. It’s no hidden secret that Liam has been looking for a superhero role in brotherly competition with Chris Hemsworth, who’s still winning comic book fans over as Thor. He has the best hair for the role and he is young enough to play Logan for the next twenty years.
Alright, we accept it. This is a terrible proposal. However, the man saves franchises, and he desires a superhero tag added to his resume. Logan would work for him, although he’d need to put on a wig, and the film might emerge as more of a cartoon then we have seen previously. Here, we have to consider who the bigger persona is: Wolverine or The Rock. We feel that given the proper circumstances and with the superb script, he maybe the right option. Or maybe not. We’re undecided; however we’re inclined to give him a shot.
