It’s welcome news that Matt Lucas, the comedian will repeat his role of the blundering Nardole in the new season of Doctor Who. He’s not only there for one episode. Furthermore, the Little Britain actor will join Peter Capaldi and newcomer Pearl Mackie on the TARDIS after his debut in 2015’s Christmas Special. The news has surprised the show’s fan base. As it is, the last time we saw Nardole he was tending to tables on Darillium while sharing a robot body with River’s spouse Ramone. What’s more, he’d been beheaded. There must be strategy in this appearing craziness. We wonder what Steven Moffat and the production group could have brewing up in their minds. Here’s what we have….
1. A Greater TARDIS Group
We can safely say that Nardole will join the show as a friend ever since Matt Lucas stated: “I’m chuffed to bits that Nardole is returning to the TARDIS for some more adventures.” Sounds very definitive, isn’t that so? Therefore, the undeniable consequence of Nardole getting on the TARDIS is that there will be a greater group of time travelers than we have had for some years now. This will instantly reinvigorate the show, as the unsocial Twelfth Doctor will go around with two companions for the first time ever.
2. Bring Back The Children
The purpose behind increasing comedy could be that they are hoping to tempt kids back to Doctor Who. As it is, most of Season 9 was aired at around 8.30pm on a Saturday evening. This is much later than the typical 6-7pm opening of earlier years. Numerous whined that this was extremely late for youngsters to watch the show. Furthermore, it shouldn’t be overlooked that children truly are the show’s center audience. After all, inspiring individuals to go gaga for the show at a young age is what guarantees the series’ future. Nardole was an exceptionally kid friendly creation in ‘The Husbands of River Song.’ This means that he is a flawless character to bring back full-time if the production group would like to ensure the young ones are viewing.
