It is one thing to kill it out there in the box offices, proving that anything is possible, but it’s quite another for the ones that don’t make it. A lot of poor lost movies that are too big, too ambitious or too grand dwell in development hell which is real by the way. We’re talking about those Hollywood movies that have been in the news for far too long, but never quite made it to the big screens. That leaves us questioning if they are ever going to be finished. Here are a few projects that might never actually make it through the development hell.
1. Top Gun 2
For 30 years, Tom Cruise seems to be telling us that Top Gun 2 is happening. This might just be his favorite pastime, but the rumors are just as fresh as they were 30 years back. Val Kilmer claims that he’s going to be back in the movie, but stringing us along for 30 years isn’t exactly leaving us with much hope, now is it?
Who’s up for the Channing Tatum starrer, Gambit? That Remy Lebeau was weird, we have no doubt, doesn’t X-Men Origins: Wolverine confirms that? Rumor has it that the actor dropped out of the franchise, which was followed up by Rupert Wyatt’s exit. Doug Liman, of Mr and Mrs Smith fame replaced the director, but last we checked the film was way off the release schedule. Will it ever reappear?
