10 Instances Where The Doctor Acted Like a Total Scoundrel on Doctor Who!
3. Escorting a Serial Killer Around Time and Space
During “The Face of Evil” episode, the Doctor realizes that he had done a really terrible job of making a sentient supercomputer functional again, thus, dooming the residents of the alien planet. The human colonists by now, were basically doomed to death with this action, that would continue on for generations. This would eventually result in the creation of several savage factions within the community and a separate community of sterile scientists. But what happens next is quite unthinkable for such a character as the Doctor. He takes up most of the savages on board and lets them massacre each other inside the TARDIS, resulting in quite a number of corpses. All of this was basically to satiate his murderous companion at that time, named Leela.
4. The Invasion of Gallifrey
Proceeding with a whopping one and a half year journey with his murderous companion on board the TARDIS, the Doctor comes to the conclusion that he has developed a taste for bloody massacres. So when news reaches out to him, that the Vardans, an alien race composed of cellophane, are planning to launch an invasion upon his home planet in Gallifrey, he doesn’t do the usual. He doesn’t bring this to the Time Lords’ notice at all. Rather, he comes out with a convoluted plan where he himself becomes the president of Gallifrey and enables the Vardans to successfully invade his own planet. By the time they had lowered their guards, he manages to defeat all of them. As fate would turn out, they were simply vanguards for another formidable species named the Sontarans, who slaughter everyone on the planet.
