In the Season Finale the line in which all the survivors are kneeling down in front of Negan and his gang of “Saviors”, started with Glenn and ended up on Eugene. The last face Lucile pointed was Carl Grimes and then, there were two reaction shots of Rick and Michonne before Negan choose one survivor two hit. So if you go by the line there are two guys Eugene and Glenn. Now amidst furious fan reactions on the cliffhanger, one thing a true Walking dead fan can never forget, yes we are talking about the last line of the dialogue delivered by Negan, “God..he is taking it like a “Champ”. Most of the comic book readers would know, what that means. One the other hand Eugene was kneeling next to Carl. Another interesting clue is Negan’s shadow on Rick’s face, which moves from left to right, the same direction towards Carl and Eugene. That means Negan choose either one of Eugene or Glenn. But wait the drama of epic proportions doesn’t end here. Greg Nicotero the show runner had stated that the cliffhanger ending was part of the plan right from the beginning. In addition to this, he said that even the cast didn’t know who got killed. Now there are rumors coming out of shooting locations that fans could get startled watching Season 7 premier. Rumors has it that 10 major characters actually escaped from Negan’s destructive swing from The Walking Dead season six finale for the time being. Beware: there are a potential spoilers ahead!
1. Rick Grimes is safe
Rick was the last survivor visible when Negan finishes his menacing Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, game. Still he is safe because we all know that Andrew Lincoln isn’t going anyplace. Rick Grimes is the main guy of The Walking Dead. He is not going to kick the bucket as long as the show goes on. Not even when Carl is mature enough to lead the gang.
2. Glenn Rhee…Could Be
Alright, Steven Yeun apparently had a one-year contract in his last deal for The Walking Dead with AMC. It’s also understood that Glenn Rhee faces the gruff end of the bat amid this scene in the comic books. However, the show is known not to follow the source material. This means, Glenn’s survival and Glenn’s death can amaze us equally. On a scene of @Midnight a while back, TWD maker Robert Kirkman proclaimed, “In the end a character named Negan is presented and he’s going to bash in Glenn’s brains with a slugger called Lucille.” That can either be an exceptionally evident spoiler or an immense red herring. In the funnies, Maggie trims her hair after Glenn kicks the bucket. In the show, she had Enid chop away at her locks. This means, Glen can still hope for the best. Then again, there are no dumpsters for him to hide under this time.
