1. MANCE RAYDER – DOMINIC WEST
How would things turn up if Dominic West played the role of Mance Rayder? Actually, it came too close to reality. In 2012, West confirmed of being asked, to be a part of the show, for the part of, the Wilding chief. But things turned out to be different, as he rejected the offer, explaining that he would have to be “in Reykjavik for six months” for the filming process. 2. CERSEI LANNISTER — GILLIAN ANDERSON
No doubt, Lena Headey looks flawless as Cersei Lannister. There’s no harm into venturing into other alternatives, particularly when Gillian Anderson was approached to play the role. The impressive actress, starring in X-Files denied the role and she must have cursed herself afterward for taking this decision though. She refused to reveal the character she was offered to. Some speculate that she was offered the part of Melisandre, the Red Woman, but in reality, she was surely being chased to play the role of the charming bride of Robert Baratheon, Cersei Lannister.
